So, I do realize that I am a bit out of step with the popular culture, I just saw this movie yesterday -- it was a really good one - and it made me want to make a pie. So, I did and here is a pic of the pie I invented. I call it "Having a Three Year Old Can Make You Old Before Your Time" Pie. Sweet pistachio pudding, a little nutty, green like mold and topped with colorful marshmallows. Sweet, old fashioned, moldy, nut-filled pie ----- yum!
So, enjoy the song, enjoy my pic and just know that I made a pie with a heart in the middle. Thanks for your post! I just saw this movie last weekend and I too have been singing that song all day today. Except I wasn't sure I had it quite right, so I found your blog on an internet search. I too, have a 3-year old girl, and I LOVE your pie! How crazy that I too have been thinking all day about baking a pie. I will definitely follow a recipe though... not much of an inventor here.
