Fashion Smashion!

I decided to incorporate a fashion segment on this here blawg.

As I strolled the mall yesterday, I realized that I really do like clothes, jewelry is a great thing and I have been deprived of the two for a long time. I used to coordinate - clothes, bags, shoes, earrings, - but those were the days before mommyhood and sleep deprivation - you know, when I had a life outside of this house.

So, if I am like that, surely there must be others. I mean, why else are there programs like "What Not To Wear" and makeover shows by the gazillion? I decided last night, after hanging up my new clothing finds in my closet (which, by the way, I think needs a makeover show of its own!!) that I would help myself, and thereby help others. I am a true giver, don't you know!

It is my heartfelt desire to provide a weekly article that highlights shopping, latest fashions, latest trends, etc. Now, I am not a fashionesta, but I do love clothing, jewelry and shopping. I will scroll the web to find the latest information, for you, my internet friends. If you have a question, comment, or request, I hope that you will place them in the comment section or email me at mississippigirl0406at yahoo dot com. (please note that I have put words in for symbols to avoid spamming... you will have to change it actually get an email to me-- I know you can do it!!)

I am so excited about this -- I hope you will participate it - that will make it all the more fun.

Oh, and did I mention that I will be posting this every week on Tuesdays, TRENDY TUESDAYS!

Please come and visit - it will be fun, I promise.

In an effort to drum up some business for this first Tuesday, I will be giving away a gift card to Old Navy. They have really cute clothes, mostly sportswear and in order to enter, you will need to comment on this entry or email me by Monday, January 13th. COME ON - join in, email your friends, have them scoot over here to join in the fun too! Let's have some fun!

Happy, Happy!
Beverly

Hi Bev!
Trendy Tuesdays sounds like a great idea and I SO need all the help I can get.
I went shopping for new clothes with some of my Christmas gift cards last week and was clueless how to put together an outfit that looked right on me. (and not like a teenager wanna-be)
Looking forward to your new posts!
Take care, Beth Cornelison :-)

Oh my! What such a wonderful idea!! As one of those sleep deprived moms who haven't seen the outside world for a long time, I am most excited about seeing what all is out there. Strolling the mall and window shopping has become a thing of the past and how nice it will be to just log onto my favorite blog each Tuesday to have it all condensed for me! Thanks!! I can't wait.

Bev--you are too great! I love your idea of Trendy Tuesdays. I have not bought new clothes in forever, unless you count scrubs, which I DO NOT! I'll be there tuesday!
Love ya,
Laura

hello! my friend sent me an e-mail about your blog, Laura Roberts! What a sweetheart to send traffic to your blog! :) And I will be reading. I think that too many women fall into the rut of sweatpants and scrunchies. I cannot impress enough what a difference it makes in my attitude when I actually get myself dolled up for the day. And not just because i have to go somewhere. My husband is gone for about 6-8 weeks, and for the first few days, I just was staying in my pajamas until after lunch. I know! Naughty naughty! :) but then, one morning I was looking in my too stuffed closet, I thought, I really need to use these items i've paid for! I DID NOT buy them to look pretty in my closet. I bought them to look pretty on moi. ;) So for the past few days, i have actually gotten dressed, high heels and makeup on, at a resonable time. The difference in those days compared to the first few are incredible. In my pajamas, my feet were dragging, i felt like it was a sick day (probably looked that way too), and honestly, I think I was more grouchy to my poor kids. On the days i got ready, i felt happier, my step was quicker, I was ready to do the things i needed to do that day. So ladies, read this blog, get some fashion advice, get some cute clothes because you deserve it, and darn it, look cute all day long because YOU want to!
