So this weekend and so far this week has been pretty blog boring. Not much going on, no profound thoughts so far, just a regular weekend, fun and happy.
Lest I fall into my old habit of NOT writing a post for awhile, I decided to just jot down some random thoughts, perhaps it will provide a brief glimpse of my life on this Tuesday morning.
1. I love cheese. I mean really, who doesn't like it - and if you are one of those strangeos who does not enjoy the stringy, melty goodness of a piece of cheese - well, I am sorry for you. Right now I am enjoying my favorite breakfast, a recipe I invented many years ago - plain blueberry poptart, topped with cheddar cheese, broiled for a few minutes to get it all good and yummy. It is the height of breakfast tart pastry perfection.
2. My three year old has mastered the game of Frogger - Thank you to whoever invented this game and playstation. So fun to watch her play this with her Daddy. It was a great way to start my day.
3. American Idol is on tonight -- it is Neil Diamond night - I am thinking it will not excite me too much --
4. I had my first "real" conversation with my munchkin about adoption last night. She asked some questions and before I knew it we were in the middle of a topic which I have had no idea how to really bring up to a three year old. I have struggled with when was the right time, how to broach the subject, etc. The conversation went well, her questions easily satisfied. Later, at bedtime I asked her what made her ask that first question - she said "God told me to ask you." How can you argue with that answer.
