My New "Cleaning Lady" or Where is Hazel When You Need Her?

Here's how NOT to awakened by your three year old on Monday morning of Spring Break...

H: "Mommy," I need to get a towel.
Me: "Why?"
H: "I need to clean up the mess."
Me: "What mess?"
H: "The mess in the bathroom. I turned over the basket and water splashed out."

Now -- at this point, sleep still keeping me from opening my eyes, I am calculating in my head just how bad of a "splash" she is talking about and what type of "basket" could have splashed out and is any of this worth me getting out of bed at 6:30 AM to find out. Turns out, she answered all my questions and more...

Me: "What did you turn over?"
H:"The bucket with the brush, after I cleaned the potty... and now POOP water is spilled out all over!"

Yes, good morning blogger friends.... my three year old wonder decided that cleaning the potty after a #2 visit was totally appropriate.. and since she of course has never cleaned a toilet, knew exactly how --- needless to say, I sprang out of bed and rushed to the potty--- it wasn't too bad - but it wasn't pleasant, especially pre-dawn! I sanitized Hannah and the potty and after a load of laundry, I am confident the towels, bathmat and the rug will all be as good as new... Poop Water -- oh help us all!!

Hope you have a great Spring Break -- we are going to have so much fun...you might need to check back more than once a day this week - there is no telling what adventures we are fixing to embark upon in this Little House on the Lane.

Living Happily Ever After,
Beverly
