Internet and cable television were out in my house yesterday - please take a minute to experience the horror with me. I almost fainted from withdrawal and I am seriously considering deducting the cost of the day from our bill next month! Thank goodness for dvds for both the kiddo and my and hubby. It was actually fun just sitting around and watching movies all day with the family. Of course, they sat around, I got to sit and then jump up and do a load of laundry or cook or clean every few minutes - but all-in-all it was a relaxing day.
I missed having the Internet at my fingertips and consequently I missed several big announcements in the world - Clay Aiken is going to be a father(??) and even sadder (just kidding!!) Harvey Korman passed away. I sure did love watching Harvey Korman and Tim Conway on the old Carol Burnett show -- such a hoot!
Also, I missed several important emails (well, I did get them, just not as soon as I would have liked!) so I am having to spend the morning catching up. It is almost like coming home from vacation again. So, if you emailed me and haven't heard from me yet -- I am getting there - I promise.
And finally a big thank you to the folks who have commented or emailed summer suggestions for toddlers. I was extraordinarily happy to learn of this exciting opportunity from Regal Cinemas and we will certainly participate this summer. What a deal.
Today my sweet Hannah and I are filling our day with a mall excursion and then, as promised, I am taking my child to Chuck E Cheese.
What has gone wrong with my life that I am volunteering to go to THAT place? Clearly the internet and cable tv withdrawl was more serious than I had thought!
Happy Friday Ya'll!
Living Happily Ever After,
Beverly

Okay, you must really love that kid. Chuck E. Cheese, voluntarily?? Woman, what were you thinking? There are no adequate words in my vocabulary to enumerate the ways in which I despise that franchise. Ask my kids what my least favorite place in the entire world is. They'll tell ya!
And now I'm off to google news about Clay. A father? I gotta read this...
See, this is what I love about you - we share the weirdest same obsessions. (Or is the Clay thing just mine?!)
hope you had fun at chucky cheese!!!!!
