A Great Friday

Today was the semi-annual children's consignment sale. One of my best friends and I make this pilgrimage twice a year to fill our little girls' closets for the change in season.

We always find cool stuff, affordable in price and even a few toys to delight our little girlie girls.
This year was no exception... it was a hard day of shopping and we both had full laundry baskets when the morning was over.

We worked up an appetite and headed to our favorite lunch haunt - a little restaurant downtown called Cafe 209. If you live near me and have not visited this place - you don't know what you are missing. It is awesome home cooked food - that really we can only eat twice a year. I am so glad it is all the way downtown, a place I never go, and readily accessible - it would be way too tempting.

We ended our shopping spree at O*d N*vy, returning and exchanging some items I bought yesterday, and then back home to our children.

It was a great morning and afternoon. I have learned in the past four years that this mommy needs some mommy time - either alone or with other mommies to recharge and fully appreciate my sweet little girl. Today was a great day to do just that.

Tomorrow my Hannah and I are going downtown again for a car show that our Daddy is in and I am going to introduce her to one of my favorite institutions in this town, the annual Arts festival. Such a great fall weekend. I am so looking forward to spending time with my girl.

Hope you have a great fall weekend as well.

Beverly
