Where's The Gas?

I sat in a gas line today.

The last time I remember doing that was when I was a child and we went to California for two weeks during the energy crisis...a long time ago.

Thankfully I was able to fill up the tank and really the wait in line was only about 20 minutes. It was made a bit longer by an elderly gentleman trying to use his credit card and having trouble with the card reader, thankfully not because the gas was running out or people were being rude.

It is scary to me to ride along the main thoroughfares of my town and see gas stations out of gas. Suddenly something we so take for granted is in short supply - the need to hit the panic button is completely understandable. We have taken so much for granted.

On a happier note, my child had a great day at school, I had a pretty good time working as a sub in a class. The hubby is working and I got the little girl to bed rather early tonight. The stage is set for some serious tv watching -- THE OFFICE is on tonight, and some quiet time. I am looking forward to it.

I have some laundry to do and some organizing to get ready for my weekend away. I am headed to a women's retreat this weekend - a much needed rest from my everyday life.

I will catch you all up on it on Monday!

Happy Weekend,
Beverly
