What I Did Over the Weekend!

We just arrived home from our weekend excursion, which by the way, was our annual trip to Helen, GA! It was such fun. Thankfully the hubby got to go on this trip - which made it even better. We did all the usual things, like watch the parade, shop in the Hansel and Gretel Candy Kitchen, eat at the pizza place along the river and play tennis!

This year we also took a second trip to the Babyland General Hospital (home of the Cabbage Patch Dolls!) and Hannah added to her collection. We now have a newborn, fresh from the Cabbage Patch and complete with shoes and a stroller. Her name changes so I won't dare put it down here, because in five minutes it will be something new anyway! I just call her the Baby.

An added treat while we were at the "hospital" was running into my college roomie! She and her family live in Helen and it was such fun spending a few minutes catching up with her. Gotta love that facebook...I would have never known she was there!

We started the day out today by visiting a local pottery business that we just adored and I got a nifty dogwood plate --- I just love picking up pretty pieces of original pottery and this place is the best! Over the years I have picked up some very nice coffee mugs, a really cool baking dish and tons of magnets for the fridge.

After stopping at a few more of our favorite stores for basics like cornmeal, grits and funnel cake mix at an honest to goodness grist mill, we headed home. We got here just in time for my hubby to go to work and my daughter's tooth to start falling out! I have a feeling it is going to be a LONG night!!!!
