Today my girl turns four years old.
We spent Saturday celebrating with our family and the grandparents and we will spend next Saturday celebrating with her little friends. Apparently, it is the birthday party that goes on forever!
We met the grandparents at Logan's Roadhouse for lunch and a great big birthday YEE HAW from the wait staff. Hannah loved being the star of the show - trust me - shy, she is not.
After munching some delicious food, we headed back to our home for more birthday celebration. Hannah got some really nice gifts, including, an electric guitar (heaven help us - she wanted drums -we compromised!!), Barbies, Madeline videos, princess stuff and a Disney Princess laptop. She also got a new bicycle - so exciting. We spent Saturday celebrating with our family and the grandparents and we will spend next Saturday celebrating with her little friends. After a strawberry cupcake for everyone and rainbow sherbet, we all went outside to watch her ride... it doesn't seem possible that the little baby born such a short time ago could have legs long enough to ride that big ole bicycle. It was a great day - and today, being her actual birthday has been just as fun. She woke up and wanted pizza for breakfast, so we had breakfast pizza and snow cones for a snack. We have played Barbies all morning and watched the new videos. It has been a crazy, lazy day, but so much fun to share with my girl.
Tomorrow she starts preschool and before I can blink I am sure she will be graduating college and getting married. I am just grateful to be along for this incredibly fun and kooky ride.

Happy Birthday! Four is so very big and grown up, Miss H! And you look like you have it down pat :)
B ~ I've loved this series of posts about your becoming a family. So tender and poignant and vulnerable. In the midst of the hurry and hustle to get ready for our own "road trip" of a lifetime, I've enjoyed peeking in on yours and it's sure building the suspense for me :)
