HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!!
I had a great Thursday, even in all the midst of the memorials on tv for 9/11 and the songs on the radio that jerked some tears from my eyes... it ended up being a fun day.
I met two friends for lunch - we had a great time, catching up and reminiscing about the past. It constantly amazes me how three girls who used to share at least twelve hours a day together, now can only manage to eat lunch together once, maybe twice a year. Hopefully as the years go by, that will change and we can manage a bit more girly day together time.
My parents are leaving for a week at Helen today - it makes me so sad -- I really wanted to go this year, but my new "work" schedule, Hannah's new school schedule and my hubby's regular work schedule are just not allowing it.... makes me sad, very, very sad.
At least I did get to go earlier this year - on my girl's weekend away - but just thinking about that makes me even sadder -- cause I want another girl's weekend away - probably even more than I want a family vacation at this point!!
And speaking of old friends... I am excited to be having lunch with two old friends from way back - we three worked together at the formal wear shop so many decades ago that I don't want to count them...but we have reunited (thank you facebook!!) and are going to lunch!
I am so excited. I will let you know how it goes...maybe even take a picture or two to share as well.
Living Happily Ever After,
Beverly
