Here are some trustworthy lessons learned from this past weekend.
-if you bribe your child with an inexpensive dollar toy from Walmart, just so you can get through the store in peace...make sure that the toy is actually in the cart, on the belt and gets put in the bag. Ours got left somewhere between aisle 6 and 16 and the horrible discovery of the missing sea monster did not happen until we got home and there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth!
-if your child wants chicken wings from a Chinese resturant -- don't go to the one by Food Lion -- they have NO SUCH THING as an order of chicken wings...I had to order two kids meals of wings to get four - I left $11.00 poorer...it was a sad afternoon!
- if you have Kohl's cash - never wait until the last possible day to use it. If you do, it is inevitable that your child will get sick, throw up on your dining room rug and have to spend the rest of the day in bed. So long, free stuff!
- if you see an ad for a marathon viewing of HOARDERS on tv, SKIP IT! It will (1) make you think there are some really crazy people on tv , (2) make you desire to clean your house with a fury, (3) cause you to go through your home with a trashbag and throw random things away, just to prove to yourself that you are not a hoarder!
I am sure I learned a few more lessons this weekend...but for now, those are the ones sticking in my brain. Please pardon me now as I have at least one more corner of my home that needs a good cleaning!
And how was your weekend?

Hey my friend, it's been a while since I've checked in. Your posts still make me smile. I can so relate to your weekend!!
Hope all is well now!!
OH NO!!!!! Good bye free Kohl's cash?!!! I'm so sorry. I have been known to make all kinds of strange and desperate measures to ensure that I get the cash benefit of Kohl's attempts to lure me in. My rule? Any Kohl's cash earned in the process of any shopping is for me. To spend on me. On what I want. Not what I need. My rule. My cash.
